Parent/Carer Involvement Policy

We believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents/carers and the preschool team work together in partnership. 

We also believe in a two-way flow of information about the children.

Our aim is to support parents/carers and their children in the full life of the nursery.

In order to achieve this aim we:

• Are committed to have effective communication with parents/carers to meet needs of their children.
• Inform all parents about how the preschool is run and its policies through access to written information and through informal communication. We check to ensure parents/carers understand the information that is given to them.
• Inform all parents/carers of the systems for registering queries, complaints or suggestions and that all parents/carers have access to our written complaints procedure.
• Provide opportunities for parents/carers to learn about the curriculum offered to their children and about their learning at the nursery.

As a Butterfly preschool practitioner, you will be expected to maintain a professional relationship with parents/carers within and outside the nursery.
